What the heck are Log Frogs and why do you need them?
Order Log Frogs
Log Frogs are made to perform two main tasks; they hold logs in position and enable in-place rotation of a log or timber for scribing, peeling, measuring, sanding, chainsaw cutting and carving. They require no pounding of spikes (log dogs), and are so easy to use.
An improvement over older style log cleats is the Log Frogs' smooth gradually-curved catenary arch that does not dig into the logs being rotated against them, making logs rotate with less effort no matter how large the house log.
Another improvement is their stability. How many times have you had the older style log dogs fall off the wall? Not only a pain in the neck, but a possible pain in the head for anyone in the way. Sitting on three points of contact, Log Frogs are more stable than your other, wobbly cleats or log dogs!
